Progress!!!

Upstairs progression...I will focus on pictures of the landing and open area (once two dark closets/rooms). This is from the start to today!

More drywall and more mud...

Today was productive. The HVAC guys were working away on the main floor unit and the pad for the AC units. A new friend named John helped put some mud on the wall upstairs and I hung the drywall in the hall bathroom. pictures below of the house to date. I still have lot to hang in the closets, a couple small walls, and upstairs ceilings. We also have to pull the drywall from the master bedroom outside wall to put in insulation as well. Can't wait to finish Drywall...lol...Should end this week...

Massive changes...warming things up!

Well we decided blowing insulation would be a bit pricey and not so clean. So, off with the old sheetrock, pull a few boards, insert insulation, replace boards and on with the new drywall. What a difference! Now I wish it would get cold...lol. Just so we can see the difference. The reason we went with this is in the corners there are angel braces up and down on both sides of the corner. These are 2x4's so it creates compartments. Since we aren't planning on siding the house this was a much cleaner option. Now for the living room we finish the drywall mud, wrap the beam and post, paint, floors, trim...done with this one! lol...to us this sounds good.

Can you say "Drywall!"

Wow...what a week last week! I hung over 70 sheets of drywall. Christy heled me get started on mudding the joints and nails. It is starting to feel more like a home! This week the electrician will finish in much of our electric and the HVAC should get the heating and A/C units in! This is exciting seeing it come together...and wait until you see pictures of the basement! Two guys came in and removed scrap metal (even the old furnace) and the HVAC are going to route the ducts differently! Much is coming together!
